If I were to attempt to distill my design/writing philosophy down to one word, it would be useability, a word much seen these days, especially regarding websites. My feeling is that the concept is sorely lacking in many parts of our daily life, and that crafters, and the public, are poorer because of it. Take an advertisement for example. The first test is to see
if a reader even spots the ad. The second test is whether the reader sticks around long enough to read it. The third test is whether the ad imparts the information it contains. These tests apply for all collateral, and for any writing as well.
I try to craft all my work to achieve useability. I hope, at the very least, some of it gets there.
